Dana Levin is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including; Who’s Who in Visual Art - 100 Artists, The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Foundation, First Place Juried Exhibition New Britain Museum of American Art, Ridgewood Art Association Award and Raymond Chow Memorial Award from American Artists Professional League, and First Place Portrait Category from The Artist’s Magazine.
She has also been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles, most recently, Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, “Three to Watch” June 2009.
Ms. Levin’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad. In addition, her work is in the permanent collection of the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY and The New Britain Museum of American Art, New Britain, CT.
Dana Levin was born in Virginia in 1969 and graduated with a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1990. Afterward, she completed the intensive three-year Certificate Program at The Florence Academy of Art, Italy and remained for another 5 years. Ms. Levin taught academic drawing and painting and was director of the drawing program for figurative sculpture at the Florence Academy of Art. From 2005-2008 Ms. Levin was director and founder of The New School of Classical Art, in Pawtucket, RI, an atelier school where students learned classical and traditional figure and still life drawing and painting.
She currently resides in Reading, MA where she maintains her north facing studio with views of a wooded conservation land. She maintains an active exhibition schedule in galleries nationwide.
